Description
"Psychology has a long past but a short history" said Herman Ebbinghaus. This podcast covers the major philosophical, religious and cultural trends that contributed to the formation of modern psychology. Digging deep into the past, ably guided by the lifelong work of Dr. C. George Boeree, this podcast explores a survey of both Western and Eastern thinking, offers insightful interpretations and tells the fascinating story of psychology's long past right up to it's current history. Students of philosophy, religion, psychology and history will find ideas that bring psychology to life in the mind of the listener. Professor Todd can be emailed at

Very well recorded and thought. Wish there were more from Professor Todd. These are the best podcasts out. PLEASE KEEP MAKING THEM!
Entertaining and informing
These lectures provide an excellent overview of many world events related to psychology. Although before listening to them I would recommend listening to the iTunes u podcast "Great Ideas in psychology" as all the lectures in that series have been posted and you will not havt to wait for more to come out.
