Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: [Lautner's] not a terrible actor, but if he wants a career after the Twilight fades, he'll pick better films.
Rotten: "Abduction" is just the third movie John Singleton has directed in the past decade, and it contains neither the passion nor the competence of his two previous genre efforts - "2 Fast 2 Furious" and "Four Brothers."
Rotten: Taylor Lautner tries to hold his own in an action thriller too silly to give him much of a chance.
Rotten: Sadly, it's impossible to fake the faintest enthusiasm for this picture, which is a fourth-rate Hollywood thriller that bungles a lot of thievery from better movies.

NOTHING CAN SAVE THIS MOVIE...
Take a good-looking young adult actor from a popular franchise with no redeemable acting skills whatsoever, pair him with a director known for his hit-or-miss films and a cast of supporting characters with varying degrees of notability, and make him the star of a teen-targeted action-thriller with a completely unoriginal premise. And what do you get? A blatantly incompetent, utterly soulless, and unintentionally hilarious stinker of a movie filled with atrocious acting, bland dialogue, and too many plot holes to count. Unless you're the kind of moviegoer who gets a kick out of watching the worst films ever made, avoid "Abduction" at all costs. I suppose now would be the best time for Taylor Lautner to prepare his inevitable Razzie speech.
Awesome!!!
I don't care what any of you people say about this movie. The actors in this movie have amazing talent! I would like to see you guys do these amazing action scenes. Breaking Dawn was amazing but in the movie Abduction it really brings out the talent in Taylor! I an definitely pre-ordering this!
Good, but.....
The movie was generally good. It lacked a bit of depth in the actual plot. I really liked Taylor Lautner, the girl lead...ehh. It had a few good action scenes too. But, the ending...left me saying "seriously?" It was just like we've gone through all this, and this is how we end it, no!! So long story short, your preteen/teen daughters will love it but those of us who went to see more than just Taylor Lautner may have a little harsher of an opinion.
