Plot Summary
Known for sweeping orchestral arrangements and blistering live shows, the Airborne Toxic Event burst onto the scene with their song "Sometime Around Midnight," which was voted iTunes' #1 Alternative Song of 2008 and reached #4 on the US Alternative Chart. Counting U2 among its fans, the band has built up a passionate fan base with its epic, string-laden music and extraordinary live performances. Live from Walt Disney Concert Hall is a documentary film chronicling the lead-up to the last of 354 shows in support of the the group's debut album. To mark the occasion, they were joined onstage by a variety of performers, including a world-class string quartet, a children’s choir, a high school marching band, horn players, visual artists, and Mexican folkórico dancers. In addition to never-before-recorded new tracks and cover versions of songs by the Ramones, the Magnetic Fields, and Q Lazzarus, the concert film offers an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at the exhaustive rehearsals and preparation that went into putting on the show at the world-famous, Frank Gehry-designed venue, home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

WOW!
I must say TATE is hands down one of the best bands of the decade! A band that actually rights its own music and does its best to make great show for its fans is hardly seen these days. I have seen them live several occasions, and never once have I been disappointed! For any fan, this is a great buy!
Incredible.
I completely agree with another review: the greatest band of the decade. Undeniably talented and amazing (this becomes even more apparent after watching the movie: apparently they just make it up as they go along!). This is, hands down, the most beautiful music I have ever heard. Period. Amazing film. Incredible music. Can't wait for the second album.
Must Own for Airborne Toxic Event Fans
If you didn't get to go see TATE's latest concert with Calder Quartet fear not all is not lost. Get this movie and you will surly not be disappointed. As mentioned in the summary this is a documentary based on the performance by TATE at the Disney hall. As the documentary unfolds you really do get a sense of the bands personalities as well as their group dynamics and you will even like them more if that is possible. The flow, transition, and integration of the musical numbers were very well done keeping my interest level very high. Some of my favorite musical hi-lights Wishing Well Opening Song with Calder Quartet, Innocence (Acoustic Arrangement), and two new songs from TATE All I Ever Wanted and their beautiful ballad Letter To Georgia. Not sure when their new album will be out but get this and it will tie you over to then. Personally I have seen this three times already and i'm sure it wont be my last.
