Plot Summary
Pedro Almodovar is at the top of his game with "All About My Mother," a poignant, at times comedic examination of women in intimate relationships. "All About My Mother" visits themes of female vulnerability and solidarity, but in a new and profoundly mature way. Cecilia Roth plays strong-willed hospital worker Manuela, whose 18-year-old son's accidental death transforms her life. Reading her son's journals, grief-stricken Manuela realizes that he longed to hear about the father he never knew. Forsaking Madrid for Barcelona, she embarks on a search for the man she left almost 20 years before.

Highly Recommended
This film captures human emotion. It pulls you in within the first few minutes. Almodovar's ability to pull you in is amazing. His writing and directing was incredible. The characters are full of life and played impeccably by a wonderful ensemble cast. Roth shows such a wide range of extreme anguish and of extreme generosity and laughter. This is a wonderful movie that shouldn't be passed by b/c it's a foreign film.
All About Women
This film is truly a gem and I will never forget the first time I saw this on TV. I was taken by the cinematography and the bright vibrant colors that Almodovar is so known for. The story is truly universal and an absolute tribute to women. This is one of my all time favorite film. Thank you, Pedro!!!

This movie is truly art. So so good on every level. I recommend it strongly to every person I've ever met
