Plot Summary
When Robert Langdon discovers evidence of the resurgence of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the Illuminati - the most powerful underground organization in history - he also faces a deadly threat to the existence of the secret organization's most despised enemy: the Catholic Church. When Langdon learns that the clock is ticking on an unstoppable Illuminati time bomb, he jets to Rome, where he joins forces with Vittoria Vetra, a beautiful and enigmatic Italian scientist. Embarking on a nonstop, action-packed hunt through sealed crypts, dangerous catacombs, deserted cathedrals, and even to the heart of the most secretive vault on earth, Langdon and Vetra will follow a 400-year-old trail of ancient symbols that mark the Vatican's only hope for survival.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Ron Howard's follow-up to the stiff, stately 2006 The Da Vinci Code, might have been classy, entertaining junk -- if only it were entertaining.
Rotten: Presumably in response to criticism that The Da Vinci Code was static and talky, director Ron Howard has made Angels & Demons frantic %u2014 and, well, talky
Rotten: If these movies made any damned sense, the public response might be no more than a yawn.
Fresh: Angels & Demons has some exciting sequences, a spectacular ending with a terrific twist and a grounding in the debate about science versus religion that could hardly be more timely.

If you didn't like "The Da Vinci Code" that's fine. "The Da Vinci Code" was a good movie but "Angels & Demons" is WAY better. It's not confusing and it keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting for what's around the corner. With and plot that's great and a surprising ending, this movie is worth more than seeing once. I've read the book and they changed a few things but I was extremely impressed by how they changed it and still kept the thrill of it and stayed close to true to the book with the ending. Tom Hanks does well in this one and I can't wait for the next movie. I haven't read the new book but I hope it's great! This movie gets the rating of AWESOME!

There is an Angel for giving us this film
After watching The Da Vinci Code, i was quite disappointed not because of how close it was to its book counterpart but because it was quite boring for me. So i really had no desire to see this film but so glad i did. I went to go see it on opening night with my father and i loved it. all the actors and actresses fit their role well, this film was exciting and suspenseful at the same time and the ending was just shocking. I loved how they shot this film too. this film is a great film to see and if you aren't sure rent it first but its worth it
