Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: In an era of stale, formulaic comedies, this uproarious and ribald faux documentary is like a hit of pure oxygen.
Fresh: The backlash just proves how deep a nerve the faux Kazakh journalist has hit.
Fresh: Borat is so gut-bustingly funny it should carry a health warning.
Fresh: It's so inventive, so rich with comic moments, so outrageous, so shocking and unexpected, and so willing to be offensive that it consistently leaves viewers off balance -- and howling. This is a film by an original and significant comic intelligence.
Customer Reviews
Funniest. Ever.
Possibly the funniest movie I have ever seen. Worth buying. The best part is that it was all on hidden camera, and the people didn't know that they were in a movie. They didn't know that the guy who played Borat and his friend were actors....the frat guys actually sued the makers of this movie. It makes it a whole lot funnier to think that some people actually did this stuff without a script. WARNING: This movie not for those politically correct types...
Love it!
I can literally watch this 3 times in a row without being bored. Sacha is perfect for this role. But of course stupid me thought this was actually a real documentory when i saw this the first time. I quote Borat all the time. My friends get sick of it.
"She like to make a the money, high five!"
The most original and painful comedic concept ever. Only downside is it should have been the "Ali G" movie! Booyakasha! Dat is for real wicked.
