Plot Summary
Clint Eastwood directs Oscar® winner Angelina Jolie and Oscar® nominee John Malkovich in a riveting and unforgettable true story. Los Angeles, 1928. When single mother Christine Collins (Jolie) leaves for work, her son vanishes without a trace. Five months later, the police reunite mother and son; but he isn't her boy. Driven by one woman's relentless quest for the truth, the case exposes a world of corruption, captivates the public and changes LA forever. This emotionally gripping story illustrates the profound power of a mother's love in "a mesmerizing film that burns in the memory" (Peter Travers, Rolling Stone).

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Clint Eastwood's Changeling falls into a common trap: by trying to do too much, it accomplishes too little.
Fresh: This is one movie where the star really is the star. And delivers a performance of which any actress can be truly proud.
Fresh: A deftly handled tale about one woman's quiet and determined struggle to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds.
Fresh: Changeling will engage both your fears and compassion, I have no doubt. And it will stay with you long after vou have left the cinema.
Customer Reviews
An excellent "film"
It saddens me that Changeling did not get the recognition it deserves. As someone who has been less than a fan of Angelina Jolie's acting (that's not to say I don't like "watching" her in films like Mr. & Mrs. Smith) her performance here is easily the Best Actress of the Year, and I've seen every movie that is nominated in that category this year. Other than one criticism about the very, very end of the film, this is a tough, scary piece of filmmaking that depicts a sexist time in Los Angeles that experienced extraordinarily corrupt forces in power. Since I loved the film so much, I went and researched the facts thinking so much was impossible. Incredibly, this actually happened. A tough, challenging, outstanding movie!
Inspirational
I couldn't believe how amazing this movie was and still is. And the fact that it is a true story broke my heart. Clint Eastwood can do anything and Angelina Jolie was perfect for the role. Definately worth every penny.
the BEST
This movie was oscar worthy by far. It even deserves Best picture. One of the best from 08
