Plot Summary
Vince Vaughn leads an all-star cast in the laugh-out-loud comedy about eight friends whose vacation in paradise is one they’ll never forget. Their group-rate vacation comes at a price when they discover that participation in the resort's unconventional couples therapy activities is anything but optional. Rotten: Couples Retreat is a comedy of exhaustion. But it is the comedy itself, in both concept and execution, that seems tired.
Rotten: It's too bad Couples Retreat is so poorly written and conceived, given the talented cast and chemistry between Vaughn and pal Favreau. We're meant to relate to these hapless folks or laugh at their foibles, but more often we wince.
Rotten: Couples Retreat is neither funny nor honest. The exact opposite of a retreat, it's merely exhausting.
Rotten: Like most of Universal's offerings this year, you have to wonder exactly who (besides masochists) they thought would actually want to see Couples Retreat in a theater.

This movie was awful. I saw it in theaters and just wanted it to be over.
All movies have filler where its not really funny or emotional, just kinda
part of the plot, BUT this whole movie is filler. Not good at all and not
even funny!
