Plot Summary
Jeff Bridges won an Academy Award® for his role as the richly comedic, semi-tragic, romantic anti-hero, Bad Blake, in the debut feature film, Crazy Heart, from writer-director Scott Cooper. Bad Blake is a broken-down, hard-living country music singer who's had way too many marriages, far too many years on the road, and one too many drinks way too many times. And yet, Bad can’t help but reach for salvation with the help of Jean (two-time Golden Globe®-nominee Maggie Gyllenhaal), a journalist who discovers the real man behind the musician. As he struggles down the road of redemption, Bad learns the hard way just how tough life can be on one man’s crazy heart. Crazy Heart won two Academy Awards® for Best Actor and Best Original Song.

Fresh: The movie belongs entirely to Bridges, who won the Golden Globe for best actor in a drama. His inimitable Jeff-isms have never been more endearing - the sloppy gait, the whiskey glass balanced on his chest, his general air of discombobulation.
Fresh: This performance reminds us that Bridges is that rare actor who has never had to make that apology. Crazy Heart lets him be every bit as grand as we'd hope him to be.
Fresh: It's a bit too easy, a bit too familiar, and maybe even a bit too much fun. But the easy magic Bridges brings to the screen makes it all work.
Fresh: When a movie offers you a couple of hours with a drunk, he better be a charmer. And even then, it's a gamble; we've all known charming drunks, but a little can go a long way. Fortunately for Crazy Heart, it has Jeff Bridges, who brings enough charm and ve

Touching, bits of comedy, but not a movie to watch when you're bored.
I'm an avid movie fan, and a big Jeff Bridges fan, and I loved this movie. I think the story was great, amazing direction, fantastic performance from Bridges. When I was watching, I forgot it was Bridges, and I was looking at Bad Blake.
But, this movie is pretty slow for movie fans who watch them when they get bored. But I enjoyed it alot when I saw it expecting a movie similar to Walk The Line, which this was.
Get it, and watch it. This is not a movie that you throw on while your e-mailing or twittering or whatever you guys do.
Great, Great, Movie. Touched my heart..
This movie was a very, superb movie. Great acting, great music, and a great plot. This movie isn't one of those love stories where the guy gets the girl and happy ever after. No, this movie is raw and can possibly make you cry. Me and my mother did, having an alcoholic dad before, made this very hard to watch. But it was great, and the music was fantastic. Quite possibly, one of my favorite movies ever.
Crazy Heart
--This is a wonderful movie! Jeff Bridges was great as Bad Blake. Although i think Maggie Gylenhall was a huge influence to Bridges winning an Oscar for this. He wouldnt of won without her supporting role. The only thing i can say was not good was having Colin Farrell in this. Why anyone thought he would make a good country singer is beyond me. He's from Dublin, Ireland for god sakes! His performance did make Bridges stand out though.
--Anyways...great movie!! Highly recommended!!
