Plot Summary
Claire and Phil Foster (Tina Fey and Steve Carell) are a suburban couple slogging through their daily lives and marriage. Even their “date nights” of dinner and a movie have become routine. To reignite the marital spark, they visit a trendy Manhattan bistro, where a case of mistaken identity hurtles them through the city at breakneck speeds, into non-stop adventure. Remembering what made them so special together, Phil and Claire take on a couple of corrupt cops, a top-level mobster – and a crazed cabbie – as their date becomes a night they’ll never forget.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Fey, in particular, finds herself in the situation of a prima ballerina unaccountably dancing with the Rockettes.
Fresh: Its slapstick story of a married couple enduring outrageous fortune offers a lot of laughs, a bit of romance and plenty for either sex to relate to.
Fresh: Carell and Fey really are like Fred and Ginger, so smooth and sure-footed in their comic grace(lessness) and timing.
Fresh: The main delight here is the combination of Carell and Fey, both accomplished comedians, who succeed in making "a boring married couple from New Jersey" not only engaging heroes but believable ones.

Date Night Every Night!
I love you Steve.... This has to be one of the funniest movies i have ever watched. There literally was never a moment that i wasnt laughing. I mean seriously... if you dont like this movie you have to be one of those people who stare at a brick wall. This movie was totally awesome and I am most definetly buying it... But seriously. if you dont like this Im pretty sure that your messed up in the head. Tina Fey and Steve Carell are funny seperately, but hilarious when working together.
Funny in Steve's and Tina's way.
Overall a good comedy. Subtle and sarcastic humor is plentiful, usually under a thin layer of seriousness. Average plot, then again this is a comedy. Some amazingly hilarious scenes. Overall a great, funny, movie.
