Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Dirty Dancing works best when it's most direct and unpretentious. – Vincent Canby, New York Times, Jul 16, 2008

Fresh: Good production values, some nice dance sequences and a likable performance by Grey make the film more than watchable. – Variety Staff, Variety, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: The dance finale between Gray and Swayze, although an obvious crowd-pleaser, is performed to a contemporary song clearly intended for the charts, which blows the period feel right off the dance floor. – Desson Thomson, Washington Post, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: While the music on the soundtrack is predictably overloud, the period detail is refreshingly soft-pedaled. – Jonathan Rosenbaum, Chicago Reader, Jun 24, 2010

One of my Personal favorites

Like many born in the 1980's I grew up watching this movie. What I like about it the most, is the music. The music is just so catchy and memorable and the dances are rather...kinky. But this movie is a must have if you love music, romance, and a good comic relief.

Nobody puts Baby in a corner!

As many times as I have seen this movie I never get tired of it and that says a lot since I have been watching it for as long as I can remember. BUY IT, doesn't matter if it is on iTunes or in a store, your life needs this movie. Lol, I'm going to be 19 in July and I've watched it since I was 2! For what are you waiting?
