Plot Summary
In this directorial debut, Fred Durst tells a coming of age tale that spans from the playgrounds of lower Manhattan to the idyllic greens of a fictional liberal arts college in upstate New York. Charlie Banks' (Jesse Eisenberg of Adventureland) sheltered world is shaken when an old acquaintance (Jason Ritter of Freddy vs. Jason) with a voilent past unexpectedly shows up at his dorm room. Set during the eighties, it is a story about change, inevitability, and ultimately, about facing one's fears.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Thanks to sincere performances (most notably from Mr. Ritter and Eva Amurri as Charlie's upper-crust crush) and clever writing (by Peter Elkoff), the movie never becomes maudlin.
Fresh: Ritter, who's like the young Ethan Hawke on a bender of violence, is an actor to watch.
Rotten: Too often Durst's direction is overly earnest, heavy in long takes, atmosphere wise but scene foolish.
Rotten: If it's a failure, at least it's a laudable one instead of cynically by-the-numbers.

Great movie
Saw this movie at the primier in my city. Just randomly went to go see a movie on a date and Fred Durst was at the theaters downtown Fort Worth, TX. Very impressed so was my date.
great movie
I saw this when it first got leaked on-line and was very impressed - a great drama about relationships in prep school vs relationships at home. Jesse Eisenberg is great and its a very impressive directorial job by Fred Durst.
Way Better Than It Even Appears
This was definitely a way better movie than I originally thought. It's not that I really thought that this movie wasn't going to be any good or anything, the trailer alone sold me on the movie. The only thing that might deter people away from liking this movie would be that it was directed by Fred Durst (yes its the same fred durst from limp bizkit) but do not be fooled. This was an excellent movie that totally encompassed what it is like to be so full of potential and yet not exactly know what to do with that potential. Buy This Movie! Or At least Rent It Because You Will Not Regret It!!! I promise you will like this movie if you even think that it might be good. Jason Ritter is amazing in this movie and so is Jesse Eisenberg!
