Fresh: Hitchcock has a deviously complicated tale to tell, and he's going to tell it with labyrinthine detail, and he's not going to cheat. – Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times, Jul 7, 2010

Funny, I was just thinking about this great movie...

and how it has been so long since I've seen it, and I run across it in iTunes. I must be psychic. ;-) This is one of Hitchcock's best. It has everything - comedy, suspense, action, and even a bit of romance. I'm a big Hitchcock fan, and this is one of my favorites!

Great End to Hitchcock's career

Alfred Hitchcock was one of the most innovative directors that ever lived, He showed us that you don't have to have blood and gore to create a good thriller. I think more directors should follow in his footsteps. This was a great movie that he made and was a perfect way to end his career, You must see it. It was suspensful and at some points funny. This movie goes into a top ten of hitchcock movies.

Hardly his best -- among his worst.

This movie marks an unfortunate end to a great director's career. I found it nearly too embarassing to watch. The slapstick antics of Karen Black and William Devane are over the top and not at all helpful to telling the story. I toss it in the bin with "Jamaica Inn" and other occaisional Hitchcock clunkers.
