Plot Summary
From director Wes Anderson comes his adaptation of beloved children's author Roald Dahl's novel about a fox battling angry farmers. Devil-may-care Mr. Fox (voice of George Clooney) quits chicken thieving to start a family with Mrs. Fox (voice of Meryl Streep). Twelve years later, he leaves his columnist job to rob poultry from three mean farmers who then devise a plan to trap Mr. Fox and others in the burrowing animal community. With his friends and neighbors, Mr. Fox saves his animal community and beats the farmers at their own game.

Fresh: Other filmmakers turn to children's stories when they have kids of their own. Anderson seems to have made this one for his inner child.
Fresh: Adds yet another wry, carefully composed bibelot to the cabinet of curios that defines the Anderson oeuvre.
Fresh: Children, especially, will find things they don't understand, and things that scare them. Excellent. A good story for children should suggest a hidden dimension, and that dimension of course is the lifetime still ahead of them.
Fresh: The same eye for immaculate compositions that had seemed increasingly to hem in his human actors here serves as the basis for some of the most inventive animated set pieces this side of Nick Park.

What a great movie. The most underrated movie of 2009. Wes Anderson is now a genius of animation too.
Wes Anderson at it Again
This might be one of the best movies of the year, and one of the most underrated animated films of the decade. Witty humor, clever characters, and a great cast creates a film that you can instantly love and watch repeatedly. One of the best adaptations of a children's book ever, head and shoulders over Where the Wild Things Are. The type of animation captures the story in a remarkable way, I couldn't imagine it any way else.
Wes Anderson - amazing
I can't wait for this to be released. I saw it in theaters and I enjoyed every minute. Best movie of the year for me. What a funny and visually rich movie. Wes Anderson is a genius.
