Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Set mostly in Las Vegas, Finding Amanda offers a vision of confused Americans losing their already shaky bearings in the world's gaudiest honky-tonk.
Rotten: The film's tone shifts jarringly from superficial broad comedy to something far darker. And the hooker-with-a-heart-of-gold scenario is as old as the profession itself.
Rotten: Written with more bite, the premise might hold up, but as executed here by Tolan, it is a soft-hearted, haphazard mess.
Rotten: Finding Amanda, the alternate title of which might well have been "I Oughta Be in Rehab," is an uneasy chronicle of addiction and denial wrapped in the rhythms of Neil Simon.

Quite origanal
This was a very good movie. I thought it sounded cool cause my name is amanda but I ended up really enjoying this movie. The plot is good and it has some great and interesting quirks.
Really good movie
I liked it so much I watched twice. I love Mathew Broderick, and even though it was hard to picture him in this light (gambler, alchoholic, etc), he was so good and entertaining.
