Plot Summary
The two biggest icons of the slasher genre finally meet in "Freddy vs. Jason" in a frightening showdown in hell! Banished there for eternity, Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund 'Urban Legend,' 'The Mangler') devises a plan to manipulate Jason into continuing his work, hacking up the teenagers of Elm Street. All goes well at first until Jason realizes he's been duped by 'the dream master' and is none too pleased. Coaxed by surviving teenagers Will (Jason Ritter 'Happy Endings,' 'Raise Your Voice'), Lori (Monica Keena 'Crime and Punishment in Suburbia,' 'While You Were Sleeping'), and Kia (Destinys Child's Kelly Rowland), Jason and Freddy descend up Crystal Lake for a battle royale!

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Considering what the filmmakers had to work with, and the fact that it has all been done before, Freddy Vs. Jason isn't bad.
Rotten: Though a stickler might ask what's at stake in a fight to the death between two guys who are already dead, the hard-core fans aren't likely to be disappointed.
Rotten: Despite oblique references to Psycho and Children of the Corn, Freddy vs. Jason lacks the knowing wit needed to keep it afloat in an age when even the horror spoofs have been spoofed.
Fresh: Nicely balancing mayhem and mirth, Yu keeps his film kicking. The action is lovingly lurid, and the laughs keep coming.

Freddy vs. Jason
Flat out this is not intented so much to be a horror movie but a "what if?" This was solely created to appeal to those fans who wanted to see the two iconic horror slashers go at each other. The whole movie is just setting up for the battle at the end. Freddy and Jason seem to be motivated by sex. Freddy's view is f**k it then kill it. Jason is flat out if they f**king kill it. My one complaint was that when the dude stabbed Jason with the flag; he did not have some corny patriotic phrase.
