Plot Summary
They're back! Four years removed from their previous adventures, the former Ghostbusters are under a restraining order, and have fallen to hosting cult cable talk shows (Bill Murray's Dr. Peter Venkman) and entertaining at children's birthday parties (Stantz and Zeddemore, played by Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson). Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver), having broken up with Venkman, had a baby with another man, but the marriage dissolved. It is precisely 8-month-old Oscar, whose baby carriage mysteriously rolls off on its own, who prompts Dana to get in touch with the Ghostbusters to make a desperate plea for help. With a strange feeling about her co-worker...intense, quirky art restorer Janosz Poha (Peter MacNicol)--she realizes that the supernatural has once again invaded her life, and who's she gonna call?

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Whoever thought of having evil's final manifestation take the form of a 100-ft. marshmallow deserves the rational mind's eternal gratitude.
Fresh: This movie is an exception to the general rule that big special effects can wreck a comedy.
Fresh: Essentially a $30 million version of Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy but not at all a bad time, thanks mainly to Bill Murray's incredibly dry line readings and director Ivan Reitman's maintenance of a moderately coherent tone and plotline.
Fresh: As entertaining today as it ever was, a classic to be treasured by all.
Customer Reviews
A Great Movie
I dont think the first one was better since this one has all the same humor and good acting that the first one did. nopntheless it is still one of my favorite movies, crossing horror and humor for one great experiance.
Back in buniness
Ghostbusters is back in buniness like never before they find a river of slime under ground could that be the answer to why a painting is alive in the art studio? Watch and figure out.
One of the Better sequels
I was reading the reviews people had left and I think that this was a great movie. Not only did you have the same humor and elements from the first film, you had all the same actors reprise their role. I remember seeing some sequels where some of the good characters weren't back and it was not just not as good. I thought the effects were more crisp than the first film as well and I remember this one seemed to creep me out when I was little (see Subway scene). Overall, an excellent film and I will always cherish my proton pack!
