Plot Summary
DRAGON TATTOO TRILOGY: EXTENDED EDITION contains more than two hours of additional footage not seen in the theatrical versions of the original Swedish films (THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO, THE GIRL WHO PLAYED WITH FIRE and THE GIRL WHO KICKED THE HORNET'S NEST). Amassing a total of 9 hours of story content and presented in 6 parts, this complete version of the international hit series restores notable characters and subplots from Stieg Larsson's best-selling novels, most significantly in the portrayal of Erika Berger (Lena Endre), the editor of MILLENNIUM magazine as well as Mikael Blomkvist's friend and occasional lover. Starring Noomi Rapace and Michael Nyqvist, the DRAGON TATTOO TRILOGY: EXTENDED EDITION is the quintessential set for lovers of the books and a must-have for fans of the film trilogy.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Feels like the concluding chapter it is, with neatly tied loose ends and closing remarks, though it unfolds as something of a secular passion play.
Rotten: Expunging the cliches, coincidences, flat dialogue and dull exposition will present a challenge for director David Fincher as he begins to remake the films in Hollywood.
Rotten: An overgenerous helping of recapitulation, a long procedural that's more about Lisbeth's persecutors and protectors than about her.
Fresh: One of the knottiest, talkiest tangles of celluloid to roll into theaters this year.

the paresian
this movie was not a good as i thought it would be. what really pissed me off was one they should have had the original ending from the book because she is free and she no longer has to run from anybody and its ok for her to start having a normal life. also they never mention dag and mia the two young reporters killed in the second movie. in the movie the trial is just about her and whether or not she should be declared legally compitent or not. noomi rapace needs to do more european films because they really show case her tallent and lets face it sherlock holmes a game of shadows was just awful. but anyway the acting was amazing and throughout the entire film series i most enjoyed the performances of the actors playing burman, teleborian, and zalachenko. those actors really did a tremendous job playing such evil men who dispise women. You hate them so much and you dont see the actors you just see the characters. for example with tom cruise you just see tom cruise and not the characters he plays. im glad the extended editions are out because they are much better than the theatrical versions.
WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHILE MOST OF US ALREDY ADORE AND CRAVEMORE OF THIS SERIES I AM HAPPY YET DISSAPOINTED THAT THEY ARE RELEASING EXTENDED EDITIOINS OF THESE MOVIES WHEN THEY ALREDY CAME OUT
