Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: The decadent world of Hamptonite hip-hop moguls is a fitting backdrop for this somewhat faithful but not very graceful retelling of F. Scott Fitzgerald's 'Great Gatsby.'
Rotten: Another strikeout, further destroying F. Scott Fitzgerald's film batting average.
Rotten: No green light but the one mistakenly given to start production.
Rotten: The filmmakers are going for something operatic here with their mix of love and loss, rap and race. They miss. By a lot.

Gross...disturbing
Well I saw this movie and well basically it's based on that German that wanted to eat someone and the other guy who answered his post cause he wanted to be eaten. I did find it disturbing but what is most disturbing to me is that yes this did really happen. I guess people in there loneliness will become so alone that they must find a way to connect with someone.
Awful
Yes this movie was based on a true story which made it disturbing. However the movie was very slow moving and not very interesting.
Different
Different can be good or bad, in this case it's just that...... different.
The DP and Director collaborated beautifully, masterfully even, by showing us a story in colors suited to its dark theme. It wasn't a horror fest by any means, but a deep, dark tale of mental illness and broken childhoods leading to the darkest of infactuations.
It is not a film for everyone so if you rent it and hate it, don't feel gipped. It's good to see different films, it keeps us fresh, keeps our creative juices flowing.
