Plot Summary
The energy crisis can be felt along the Gulf of Mexico. This acclaimed documentary takes place in the Louisiana backwoods, following the momentous discovery of the largest natural gas field in the United States (and maybe the world). The filmmakers examine the historic find (a formation called the "Haynesville Shale") from the personal level, as well as from the higher perspective of the current energy picture and pending energy future.

An incredibly interesting story that offers much hope
The story mostly centers on the good fortune of the citizens of Hayneseville LA. However, it also discusses the hope that Natural Gas can bridge the gap between our current dependance on hydrocarbons and more sustainable sources of renewable energy, which won't be viable for many years. At the end of the movie you're left wanting a little more details, results, etc, but it's still an entertaining film.
The Way Of The World
All physical forces (which includes people) seem to be inherently creative, destructive and/or self-destructive--so, maybe along the path of thinking and doing, we will enable an ecological-survival-evolution which is life-supporting?
