Plot Summary
ACADEMY AWARD NOMINEE, BEST ANIMATED SHORT FILM EMMY AWARD, NEW APPROACHES - DAYTIME In 1969, 14-year-old Jerry Levitan snuck into ex-Beatle John Lennon's hotel room. Instead of kicking him out or having him arrested, Lennon agreed to let Levitan interview him. Flash-forward 38 years. Josh Raskin, a Canadian filmmaker with “an affinity for appropriating old things and reupholstering them in terrifying new ways,” uses the interview as the basis for a short film. With brilliant pen work by James Braithwaite and masterful digital illustration by Alex Kurina, the result is a spellbinding vessel for Lennon’s boundless wit and timeless message. “Fast, droll, surreal, and very funny. I MET THE WALRUS [has] visual dynamism . . . in spades.” – Animation World Magazine
