Plot Summary
Two versions of the American dream now stand in sharp contrast. One views the money you earned as yours and best allocated by you. It champions the traditional American dream, which has played out millions of times through generations of Americans, of improving one’s lot in life and the entrepreneurial spirit of daring to dream and to build big. The other believes that the federal government, using taxpayers’ money, should play a major role in leveling out the nation’s wealth to guarantee outcomes to all, regardless of effort. How America chooses between these two views of the role of government, at this crucial juncture, will have everything to do with the future we and our children and our children’s children will enjoy. Join filmmaker Ray Griggs in this documentary film as he contrasts the two paths the United States can take using the words and actions of Barack Obama and Ronald Reagan. The film uses interviews from well-known public figures, experts, movie clips, dramatic portrayals, music, graphics and even comedic animation to tell the story in the plainest terms of the role the federal government should play in our society. Part Comedy...Part Horror...Part Documentary...ALL TRUE...
When we sat down to watch this film neither the wife nor I knew what to expect. Going by the cover art we both expected it to be nothing more then a partisan hack job. Imagine our surprise when we found ourselves not only being entertained but also educated. This is a well done and informative piece of filmaking that everyone should see no matter which side of the ideological aisle you sit on. Liberals are going to slam it simply because they hate the facts, the hate the truth, and they LOATHE Ronald Reagan. If nothing else this will help you understand the dangerous path our nation is on, but it will also show you that it's not to late to turn things around and save the country. If nothing else, you'll walk away understanding how much a TRILLION DOLLARS really is. Don't believe the hatchet reviews, give this movie a chance. If you don't believe what you hear, research it yourself. In the end though I think you'll enjoy watching it!
Remarkable work
The truth hurts sometimes and offends other times. Nevertheless it remains the truth. For Ray to put the truth forward in a fashion that keeps your attention and surrounds you with a enough comedy to tame your anger is worth extreme compliment.... Thank you sir.
Accurate, Educational, and Entertaining
This is a documentary that will NOT bore you. Yes, it irritates those on the far-left. Why? Because it points out the faults of the Progressive agenda that has left the nation BROKE. For the record, I am a moderate Conservative, but I am NOT a die-hard Republican. Now there are many that will accuse this movie of being right-wing propaganda, but those people have not even watched the movie. When it comes to the humor in this film, it not only pokes fun at Democrats like Obama, Pelosi, and Clinton...but it also has it's fair share of funny jabs at both Bush's...since they were/are progressives as well. This film uses facts and statistics that cannot be logically debated against. I highly recommend this film to anyone that has interest in seeing the TRUTH on just how much trouble we are in financially, and how those that are expected to lead us are just leading us into a pit of eternal debt.
