Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Field has a talent for drawing us directly into his characters' lives and making us feel what they feel.
Fresh: The surehandedly wrought, beautifully acted, almost unbearably tense In the Bedroom is a rare film, not to be missed.
Fresh: The story and direction are powerful enough. But it's the acting that takes In the Bedroom higher.
Fresh: Gets at what most Hollywood movies are afraid to say about the way we live on the edge of tragedy.

Dreadfully Depressing
Not exactly a feel-good romp. This film is superbly acted and well crafted but it will leave you empty. It robs us of our ability to feel hopeful about the world. Dramatizing domestic violence in such a careful, well-thought out way is both gratuitous and painful for the viewer.
Amazing piece of art
Absolutely awesome film. The plot, the acting, the way it keeps you on your toes. Just a great piece that everyone should watch. One of my all time favorite movies!
Overrated.
Not as thrilling as it promises to be, nor as meaningful. The performances were great, but it's a film that you will see and forget, as it brings nothing of value.
