A CLASSIC!
I LOVE this movie! It's heart-wrenching and heart-warming all at the same time!
a tremendous waste
of talent, money, and time. what a shame to so badly and baldly abuse such a classic. all of the gothic murk and mystery is stripped away, leaving a stilted, stifled and unsatisfying love story. perhaps if this young actress had personified more of jane's passion and less of her self-possession, even this flawed movie would have been more watchable. as it stands, poor mr. hurt is left gasping for air in every scene. for one who loves this novel, this movie was painful, truly painful.

This is amazing autobiography!!! It is a pure classic!
