Plot Summary
A growing number of Evangelical Christians believe there is a revival underway in America that requires Christian youth to assume leadership roles in advocating the causes of their religious movement. JESUS CAMP follows Levi, Rachael, and Tory to Pastor Becky Fischer's "Kids on Fire" summer camp in Devil's Lake, North Dakota, where kids as young as 6 years old are taught to become dedicated Christian soldiers in "God's army." The film follows these children at camp as they hone their "prophetic gifts" and are schooled in how to "take back America for Christ."

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: As a documentary, Jesus Camp could lose its haunted-house score and contrapuntal Air America refrains and still deliver its message...
Fresh: Jesus Camp seems to me most interesting (and poignant) as a portrait of denied and even desecrated childhood.
Fresh: It stares into the face of faith run amok, and for those willing to follow its gaze, it provides sad revelations.
Fresh: Both disturbing and enlightening.

Sad movie
"I like your Christ. I do not like your christians. They are so unlike your Christ." -Ghandi
One of the MOST DISTURBING FILMS of All Time
After seeing this movie I felt somewhat scared and very nausious. The fact that these relgious zealots are brainwashing CHILDREN at such a young and vulnerable age is utterly disturbing. These adults are deeming these children "soldiers" for their own cause, causes these children are too young to even understand, and convencing them that they should be willing to DIE for these causes. I put these people on the same level of evil as the Taliban who use children as bombers. They take child abuse to the next realm.
Made me cry
This documentary completely broke my heart. I am a Christian and firmly believe in bringing my children up in the Church and teaching them God's word; however, what I saw in this film is abuse. Child Abuse in the name of Jesus and a political agenda.
