Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Jumper is a barely coherent genre mishmash about a guy who transports himself across the globe at will.
Rotten: So freakin' awful.
Rotten: Though dazzled by its ultra-modern wizardry and the high gloss of its production values, one can also feel the globalist double standard roiling underneath the adolescent-kid fantasy plot.
Rotten: One day, I feel sure, the rich mantle of charisma will descend upon [Hayden Christensen], but Jumper is not that occasion.

Enjoyable...
I've gotta say it isn't near a masterpiece but still takes an idea on that is fresh and not too redundant in hollywood films. It was cool to show how someone could exploit a gift for personal gain and how it creates conflict with others who dedicate themselves to killing these gifted individuals because of jealousy or religious fanatism. I felt they could have done more with making the power more prevalent to the audience but instead goes in the direction of putting the perspective in the frame of someone who indulges in his great power and in doing so, starts to figure his place in the world and begins to realize why his mother left... Fresh topic indeed...plot is something that was just such an amazing thing to look at...but could of maybe used a more suspenseful or informative approach to making the film. It's something noticable with all of hayden's films except star wars...the plot is actually a good idea but they really just leave you in the dark with some things and just make a decent action movie without any sort of mastery... I suggest renting...not buying for really any reason...
Not All Bad
I don't know what everyone is complaining about (actually I do). I saw this movie a while ago and thought it was not good, but not bad. The concept is actually fairly original and gives a break from the string of superhero flicks that are coming out this summer and last. The plot (although some people say there isn't one) is simple enough. Guy finds out he can teleport, he abuses his power, people want him dead. Simple without too many random plot twists. The acting is not the best, but it isn't a total disgrace to the acting industry. People say that Hayden's acting is monotonous and boring. I've got news for you, that's how he is. Have you seen star wars lately? Same monotony. Other than that, not bad. My final verdict: watch it once. It's worth it unless you hate action movies. The fight scenes are good, but the plot and ending are sub-par. The ending does seem to set itself up for a sequel. Please let it be better.
Really Good Movie!
I love this movie! I saaw it at the movies with my sister. It's a good movie, even though it seems more like a Si-Fi flick (that's my opinion). It really doesn't have any bad or disappointing parts. But I kinda wasn't satisfied with the ending. It as a good storyline which should be important for all movies. So, to sum it up for you... good storyline, good actor/actress, sorta good ending, and fun to watch. Overall I give it a 4 star rating.
