Plot Summary
In Lakeview Terrace, a young couple (Patrick Wilson and Kerry Washington) has just moved into their California dream home when they become the target of their next-door neighbor, who disapproves of their interracial relationship. A stern, single father, this tightly wound LAPD officer (Samuel L. Jackson) has appointed himself the watchdog of the neighborhood. His nightly foot patrols and overly watchful eyes bring comfort to some, but he becomes increasingly harassing to the newlyweds. These persistent intrusions into their lives ultimately turn tragic when the couple decides to fight back.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Lakeview Terrace is a serviceable enough popcorn exercise in a few floundering Angelenos who can't just get along.
Rotten: The actors make it watchable, but with these incendiary themes, 'watchable' isn't exactly a wildfire.
Fresh: In its overall shape and message, Lakeview Terrace is a conventional suspense thriller, but the details kick it up a notch.
Rotten: The movie's only mark of restraint is the absence of an earthquake.

Garbage
I've never writen an iTunes movie review until now, but I am going out of my way to do so to let you all know...DO NOT RENT/BUY THIS MOVIE! The story is slow, pointless and retarted. Just another movie that attempts to say something meaningful about 'race' and 'tolerance' (like Crash, for example, ugh) and fails miserably. I have seen 15 movies this year in theaters-this being one of them-and this, including the Unborn, are the two WORST I've seen. If you want a movie about race that does something constructive, just watch American History X.
Great
Good,but this movie should be R.Not PG-13!!!
Not All That...
Look, some of my friends and I went to see this movie because the preview does make this look really good. However, I was so disappointed when I saw this. The story line falls flat and is sometimes just confusing and too complex. I know this wasn;t a horror movie, just drama, but there was hardly anything exciting about this. I'm not saying it was terrible, because it's not, but it was certainly not suberb, not even great. It was around good / just O.K. So if you're thinking about buying this, rent it first, and then make your decision...which will probably be to leave it on the shelf.
