a brilliant book finally becomes the movie it always should have been
I read the book my senior year of high school and never forgot it. I was a lolita in my younger years and I totally understand how such a situation could exist. It is a beautifully tragic love story, wonderfully written, perfectly acted. I am so glad it was finally made the way it always should have been. For the first time in my life I think a remake better than the original, simply because so much had to be left out of the original due to the constraints of the 1960's. I'm so glad they chose Jeremy Irons and Dominique Swain. They made the characters come to life. Great movie.
Lolita
This is a must see for both Nabokov and Adrian Lynne fans. A more faithful adaptation than Kubrick's film!
