Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: A methodical, coolly absorbing boardroom thriller.
Fresh: Margin Call is one of the strongest American films of the year and easily the best Wall Street movie ever made.
Fresh: That Chandor manages to find the blood in each character is accomplishment enough; that he manages to make his drama both relevant and timeless portends a bright future indeed.
Fresh: A terrific piece of entertainment.
Customer Reviews
Must see.
Hauntingly realistic, brilliant cast....love the tight time frame in which the story takes place. A must see in my book.
Best film about Wall Street
Finally there is a film that accurately shows the atmosphere of a Wall St trading floor. No constant standing and shouting. No silly love stories. None of this BS about alternative energy from "Wall Street 2". This film shows exactly how things are whether you like it or not. Very good acting. Bottomline: if you are looking for a hollywood flick with love story, happy end, etc - see something else. If you are actually interested to see how things really are in this industry - you should see this film.
If you have an interest in the world of financial markets, you
Brilliant movie, well written and executed. Can't understand the negative reviews but I can only guess that the movie is a bit over their heads. No gratuitous violence, sex or explosions and unbelievable car chases makes for a bad movie in some opinions. I thought it was great, realistic and much better than the HBO version of Too big to Fail which I found incredibly disappointing considering what a great book it was drawn from. It's a shame that this great movie will be largely ignored. Good cast, relevant subject matter, intriguing and thought provoking. This from someone who finds most movies unbearable.
