Plot Summary
Tina Fey from Saturday Night Live wrote and appears in this comedy about the alternately funny and terrifying pecking order among teenage girls. Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan) is a 15-year-old girl who has spent most of her life in Africa, where she was home-schooled by her zoologist parents. When her family relocates to the United States, Cady finds herself attending a high school in suburban Illinois, where she gets a crash course in the various sub-strata of the student body: the jocks, the cheerleaders, the stoners, the "cool" kids, and so on. Much to her surprise, Cady finds herself embraced by a clique of rich and popular girls known to outsiders as "the Plastics," led by Regina George (Rachel McAdams), Gretchen Weiners (Lacey Chabert), and Karen Smith (Amanda Seyfried). While Cady is grateful for her new friends, it doesn't take long for her to realize how manipulative they can be, and she soon discovers she's violated an unwritten law when she goes out on a date with Aaron (Jonathan Bennett), who is charming, good looking...and Regina's former boyfriend. It isn't long before Regina and her pals are on the warpath, and Cady must face a level of vengeful behavior for which years in the jungle never prepared her. Joining Tina Fey in the supporting cast are fellow SNL players Amy Poehler, Ana Gasteyer, and Tim Meadows. The screenplay for Mean Girls was based in part on Queen Bees and Wannabes: Helping Your Daughter Survive Cliques, Gossip, Boyfriends and Other Realities of Adolescence, a book by professional youth counselor Rosalind Wiseman.

Fresh: Girls, which gets funnier as it goes, is [Lorne Michaels'] best since 1992's Wayne's World.
Fresh: Mean Girls isn't a particularly deep picture, but it does have some weight and ballast.
Rotten: I would be more amused if the topic of rich material girls had not been worn to a thread elsewhere.
Fresh: A smart little teen picture that, for a change, actually features recognizable teens.

MORE Than Just a Chick Flick!! ((1st Review! Yay!))
I am a ((STRAIGHT)) male, and I first saw this on the way home from a school trip. I thought "Aw, man this is gonna be SO lame!", and I put my iPod on. My other friend (a guy) started laughing, so I was like "What the heck, I'll just watch it", and I did and I LOVED it! I got my other friend hooked on it too, at first he was not up to it, but now he's basically the biggest fan of this movie! It is HYSTERICAL, and it really does a good job at depicting what high school life really is like (well, for some). I'm not sure what else to say about the movie. It's just really good, and if you're in high school, it'll give you a ton of laughs!
Its like I have ESPN or something!!!!!!
Wow if your a girl you need this movie!!! I am not a fan of lindsey Lohan at all, but this movie is really good. The plastics are the coolest lol, and if you dont know who they are you should buy this movie. Although the movie is great, I think the movie could have done without some scenes, but it is still a funnnnnny movie. I dont reccomend it to kids under the age of 12 because theres alot of stuff in this movie not appropriate for them. But if your looking for a good, FUNNY movie, then this is the movie for you. BUY it, you wont regret it
yesyesyesyesyes!
from the moment i heard that iTunes was going to start putting movies on, i thought of mean girls. its a movie that everybody loves, and one that no one will EVER get tired of seeing it. there are some movies on here that you wouldn't want to have on your iPod, you might just watch them once, and then want to get your money back...but not this movie! men and women alike are in love with this...because its just brilliant. lindsay does a great job in this, and with all the SNL stars in it, mean girls is one of THE FUNNIEST movies ever. it also goes beyond that tho...showing the truth behind the cliques at high schools. its sad to say that this is actually very realistic... perfect movie. perfect actors. ONLY TEN BUXXXXX!! im downloading it as i write...i encourage you to do the same!!!!!! :):):)
