Plot Summary
A stop-motion animation film depicting a gritty, futuristic dystopia where true happiness and bliss are very hard to come by. More was nominated for an Academy Award and won Best Short Film at the Sundance Film Festival in 1999.

A tiny little gem of a film
This is quite seriously the cleverest and most beautiful 6 minutes of film you will ever watch. Mark Osborne tells a universally relatable story, that says so much about the human condition. As we strive to move ever upward we lose the spark that inspired us in the first place. Everyone should watch this film at least once.
Live your life!
I first saw this short unintentionally as a unannounced addition to an iMax presentation. It was really great to see it in that format with no preconceived notions of what was to come, or what the story was about. It has been a favorite of mine ever since!
It addresses many ideas of happiness, the pursuit of happiness, and LIFE!

It's amazing how much meaning is packed into so short a film. One of my favorites.
But rated R for language? That must be a mistake...
