Plot Summary
In this comedy, Emma (Natalie Portman) and Adam (Ashton Kutcher) are life-long friends who almost ruin everything by having sex one morning. In order to protect their friendship, they make a pact to keep their relationship strictly "no strings attached." "No strings" means no jealousy, no expectations, no fighting, no flowers, no baby voices. It means they can do whatever they want, whenever they want, in whatever public place they want, as long as they don't fall in love. The question becomes - who's going to fall first? And can their friendship survive?

Rotten: No Strings Attached is so palpably calculated that you know if the camera had pulled back a foot from the bed in which Portman and Kutcher were pretending to have sex, you'd have seen their agents standing by beaming: proud parents, proud pimps.
Rotten: The charismatic leads keep this watchable, but it's a waste of their talents.
Fresh: Quite the rarity for Hollywood romantic comedies, No Strings Attached is loaded with funny ideas. Portman creates a complex leading lady. It's a funny, sharp and wonderfully dirty
Fresh: The film's first half is best, largely because the conceit that keeps the lovers from the inevitable happy ending is much too flimsy to go the distance.

This movie is absolutely great!
I truly loved this movie. Best romantic comedy I have seen in a long time. My emotions were on a roller-coaster ride. I absolutely cannot wait for it to be released, I will be getting my copy!!!
horrible movie!!
If I could have left this movie ZERO stars, I would have!! This movie just flat out sucked. There was no chemistry between the main characters. Jokes were very flat. The story was very lame too. I mean, these guys are supposed to be in their late 20's and they are acting this way about relationships?!?! It seemed a little "middle-school" to me. What message is this sending out to teens? That it's "ok" or "cool" to treat relationships with people this way?
I guess I should have read more about it before renting and I wouldn't have wasted my time or money!
Can't remember the last time a chick flick made me laugh so hard
My husband and I really enjoyed this movie. We a frequent movie goers so we know a good one when we see it.
