Plot Summary
Isn't it romantic...Sabrina is charming, humorous and aglow with some of Hollywood's greatest stars. Humphrey Bogart, William Holden and Audrey Hepburn star in a Cinderella story directed by renowned filmmaker Billy Wilder (Sunset Boulevard, Some Like It Hot). Bogie and Holden are the mega-rich Larrabee brothers of Long Island. Bogie's all work, Holden's all playboy. But when Sabrina, daughter of the family's chauffeur, returns from Paris all grown up and glamorous, the stage is set for some family fireworks as the brothers fall under the spell of Hepburn's delightful charms.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: It is a story as light as a feather and as old as yesterday's news, as transparent as a society column item and as smug as a foreign-made car. But Mr. Wilder...has made it into a commentary as crisp as a screed in a smart magazine.
Fresh: This is never less than glittering entertainment, but somehow a certain measure of lead has found its way into the formula.
Fresh: Script is long on glibly quipping dialog, dropped with a seemingly casual air, and broadly played situations. The splendid trouping delivers them style. Leavening the chuckles are tugs at the heart.
Fresh: Hampered by an unimaginative script ... nevertheless manages to be a thoroughly charming, delightfully romantic variation of the Cinderella story.

Smarvelous!
I am a huge Audrey Hepburn fan so of course I love this movie! (i am prettty much in love with any older movie. Danny Kaye and Audrey Hepburn are my favorite actor and actress!) Even though i do love this movie, it isn't my favorite Audrey movie. My Fair Lady and Breakfast at Tiffany's tie in first place for my favorite Sudrey movie. Sabrina comes second and Funny Face follows in third. Also, i am 14 years old which proves that old movies are NOT just for old people! So get that out of your head! I most certainly recommend these old movies over most newer movies because they are much more clean! They offer comedy, romance, and even some tear-jerking moments, and the best part is that they are clean! If you have seen Sabrina and liked it, then i recommend all of the movies I listed earlier. Also I recommend Singing in the Rain, Court Jester, and the Inspector General. Even though they aren't Audrey Hepburn movies, they are still great, old classics. I most definitely enjoy getting my friends, yes, even my guy friends, to watch these great movies. Again, I definitely recommend this movie!
Movie Magic
I was first introduced to Sabrina (not the teenage witch) through the remake with Harrison Ford in Humphrey Bogart's role. This original version is magical because you are pulled into Sabrina's world and root throughout the movie that she will end up with the right guy. This movie is adorable- perfect for a night in snuggled up on the couch.
One of the all-time greatest!
Ahhh, to be a teen-ager again in 1954 and seated in this wonderful rather Cinderalla-type love story movie, "Sabrina" again would be so divine. They don't make them like this anymore and they can't because the world has changed too much and so have movies. One would have had to 'be there' to experience the magic; and I was, and I am so grateful for the memory.
