Plot Summary
When the eldest of seven Oregon frontier brothers announces his marriage plans, the others follow his advice and kidnap six beautiful women of their own. It's a rollicking musical delight as the brothers compete for the women's affections with raucous song and dance. Nominated for five Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Screenplay, it won an Oscar for its outstanding musical score. Fresh: Although the powers at M-G-M are deviating from the normal song-and-dance extravaganza in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, it is a gamble that is paying rich rewards.
Fresh: This is a happy, hand-clapping, foot-stomping country type of musical with all the slickness of a Broadway show.
Fresh: A profoundly sexist and eminently hummable 1954 CinemaScope musical with some terrific athletic Michael Kidd choreography and some better-than-average direction by Stanley Donen.

Great show!
Saw this movie when I was only 10 and have loved the storyline and music ever since...32 years old now and still love this movie!! A definite must see for everyone.
