Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: It takes the soggy cake for multiple layers of sentimentality topped by indigestible grandiosity.
Rotten: Seven Pounds can feel too heavy at times but Smith carries the film.
Rotten: As high concepts go, Seven Pounds is distasteful in the extreme.
Rotten: The film's most abiding mystery lies in the question of why it ever got made.

Loved it!
This movie starts off like a novel, so if you're not a reader, you may not like the slow start. I loved it because it spent so much time letting you know the characters and what drives them. So many cookie cutter movies now a days are all about the action and sex. This movie is thought provoking, it dares you to think a bit. Not so much that it doesn't explain what is going on, but just enough for you to have to pay attention the entire time. The acting was phenomenal by all of the actors involved and the plot pulls you in. I loved this movie!
Best Movie Ever!
Will Smith does another amazing job. Bring tissues with you, very touching movie! It makes you want to go and change peoples lives afterwards, extreamly inspiring!
Absolutely Splendid
This movie was absolutely fantastic. Will Smith gave an Oscar Award winning performance, that got totally overlooked and truly should have won an Oscar but it's all good Will Smith will get his. This movie displayed excellent acting and yes somewhat predictable but it's one thing to know something and to know just exactly how it will play out which is where the difference comes in completely. Overall this movie is definitely a hit and deserves a lot more recognition then what it is getting from the public.
