Plot Summary
Strange lights descend on the city of Los Angeles, drawing people outside like moths to a flame, where an extraterrestrial force threatens to swallow the entire human population off the face of the Earth.

Rotten: Trapped inside what looks like a Marina del Rey condo complex, the principals raise and lower the blinds, run up and down the stairs and occasionally venture outside, while the audience, if it has the energy, yells: "No! Don't do that! That's stupid!"
Rotten: The Strauses used their tech savvy to make a marvel of logistics that looks every bit as slick as a studio tentpole. It's just a shame they haven't figured out a way to CG a decent story. Yet.
Rotten: An underwhelming and derivative sci-fi thriller that's only marginally more impressive than a run-of-the-mill SyFy Channel telepic.

What's up with all the negative reviews?
I was really looking forward seeing this movie since the first trailers came out. I almost didn't after reading all the negative reviews. I've seen terrible movies. Movies I just had to stop watching midway through because they were causing more frustration than relaxation. Those movies deserve a 1-star review. Skyline is NOT one of those movies. I really enjoyed it all the way through. The conclusion is as weak as for any movie that sets itself up for a sequel. That aside, if you love sci-fi, action, CGI, and can forgive some bad acting and dialog (e.g. if you're Stargate fan, you qualify!), you will enjoy this movie. I sincerely hope they will make a sequel. By the way, the story of how this movie was made is also quite interesting. Look it up. I found it compelling enough to give it a try despite the reviews and I'm very happy I did.

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha
Seriously, I can't stop laughing. I wish this movie was trying to be bad (like Sharktopus) but it is not. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE MOVIE. I would suggest renting something else. The ending is highly comical too.
Awful!
Bad acting and terrible story line. I'll watch most crap but that took the biscuit. Dont bother.
