Plot Summary
SET in 1965… That's What I Am is a coming-of age story which follows 12-year -old Andy Nichol, (Chase Ellison, The Tooth Fairy), a well liked student who is put to the test when the English teacher Mr. Simon (Academy Award *Nominee Ed Harris, Apollo 13), pairs him up on a project with the school's biggest outcast, Stanley. Now Andy must face the bullies and teasing head on, and learn what might be Mr. Simon's final lesson: tolerance takes courage.

Fresh: Mr. Harris's depiction of a saintly, soft-spoken, bow-tie-wearing middle-school teacher lends the movie a moral weight it probably couldn't have summoned had another actor played the role.
Fresh: Agreeable, uplifting and earnest almost to a fault.
Rotten: Since a large portion of the film is taken up with the theme of school bullying, it may have some contemporary relevance, but good intentions do not always a good movie make.

That's what I Am
Fantastic......refreshing!!!! Great casting, always love Ed Harris, the strength and principals of his character made me cheer. Light fun movie with a HUGE message!!

This movie is so great that I will even go to the papers if I have to.
