Fresh: This plot need not be taken too seriously. Watching it amble along is enough of a treat, since the Coens populate this story with oddballs and bowling balls of such comic variety.
Fresh: Nearly everything in The Big Lebowski is a put-on, and all that leaves you with is the Coens' bizarrely over-deliberate, almost Teutonic form of rib nudging.
Rotten: Adds up to considerably less than the sum of its often scintillating parts.
Fresh: A genial spoof about life on the unhinged margins of L.A. that's a lot more carefully constructed than it pretends to be.

Oh ya? Well thats just like, your opinion Man.
If you haven't seen this movie-your obviously not a golfer.
This is one of the greatest movies of ALL TIME. And certainly the best comedy. I haven't meet a person who hasn't loved it. The Dude is awesome (or el duderino if you're not into the whole berevity thing). This is a timeless classic that I could watch over and over again and still laugh.
MARK IT ZERO!!
John Goodman's greatest performance of his career. The role Jeff Bridges was born to play. Tara Reid is actually hot. It's the perfect movie, my friend. The Dude abides.
