Plot Summary
All Ben Wilson (Joshua Dallas, The Descent 2) wants is to be a better man. So when he hooks up with Joe Miller (Stacy Keach, TV's Prison Break), a cantankerous old boxing trainer, he finally gets his chance. Preparing for a title-qualifying bout against The Butcher -- the sadistic bully who once nearly crippled him -- Ben hopes to win fame, fortune and the girl he loves. For in today's world, there's only one way to get what you really want: you've got to fight for it!

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Sincere and sinister and inevitably ambitious.
Rotten: Kelly has talent, but for his next movie, he might try coming down to earth and forgetting about the people who control the lightning.
Fresh: Kelly, as he did in Donnie Darko, avoids obvious scare techniques. Instead, he makes the bizarre, the surreal, and the frightening emerge from normal reality.
Rotten: After a slightly promising start, this great-looking but ultimately deeply confusing and unscary sci-fi/horror opus turns into a quite boring rehash of M. Night Shyamalan's post-Signs films.
Customer Reviews
Comes from the heart!
Id never heard of this movie, never seen it commercialised or mentioned but it was decent and i enjoyed it. It was completely original, and not much of a plot, you cant expect too much from a boxing movie, but i would say it was enjoyable and it was the perfect length. I would reccomend you give this movie a chance!
More realistic
Regardless of what the critics say, this movie seems more realistic and heart warming than most boxing movies. I really enjoed this movie from start to finish. At first I just wanted to watch it because of Joshua Dallas but in the end, it's a movie I intend on purchasing in the near future because it has everything from drama to romance to a touch of humor here and there. It's sad that this movie was never advertised or in theatres. I think it would have done well. This a movie that both men and woman can enjoy.
