Plot Summary
Academy Award winners Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman star in the comedic drama The Bucket List, directed by Rob Reiner, a touching, no- holds-barred adventure that shows it’s never too late to live life to its fullest. Carter and Edward found themselves sharing a hospital room with plenty of time to think about what might happen next—and about how much of that was in their hands. For all their apparent differences, they soon discovered they had two very important things in common: an unrealized need to come to terms with who they were and the choices they’d made, and a pressing desire to spend the time they had left doing everything they ever wanted to do.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: A manipulative look at dying with dignity and a lame yarn about as realistic as the fantasy in The Princess Bride.
Rotten: The movie is caught in the crossfire of its two missions -- to celebrate the universal things that "really matter" in life (friendship, family) and to celebrate what it means to live like Jack Nicholson.
Rotten: It's impossible to mistake the movie for inspired.
Fresh: Not every film about death needs a bald Swede and a game of chess: Sometimes, the sky-diving's enough.

Second!!!
This really is a fantastic movie. I was so skeptical walking into the theater (when I saw it for the first time), but I was totally surprised. Not only is there a fantastic message pursued throughout the entire film, but you are entertained the whole time. I not only recommend buying this, but WATCHING it...several times, as to really appreciate the meaning, and to spend a good hour and half laughing and enjoying yourself. Please rate yes!
One not to miss!
I actually saw this in the theatre when it came out and loved it. A very touching story of a rich man who meets a working man when he was in the hospital receiving treatment for cancer. Rob Reiner, Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson truly deliver a funny, heart-warming, and sad film that makes sense. It is really wonderful how these two very different men bring each a sense of joy and help each overcome hurdles of their pasts in a fight for their lives with cancer. Even the ending makes sense which is so rare in a film such as this. This film will make you laugh and cry at the same time! Do not miss this tale of what cancer can and cannot take away from you and how it can change the lives of both rich and poor in a good and bad way.
Exceptional!
I went to the theater with a friend not having a movie in mind. The Bucket List won by default. It quickly captured my attention and my heart. This is a beautiful yet highly entertaining movie. I believe this is one of those rare finds that anyone at any age or walk of life can enjoy. It's a great date movie too. I absolutely love this movie!
