Plot Summary
A road trip turns into a battle for survival when Cameron (Andy Whitfield, Spartacus: Blood and Sand) and his pregnant wife, Beth (Tabrett Bethell, Legend of the Seeker), stop for the night at a desolate motel. That night Beth is suddenly abducted from their room and wakes up in an ice-filled bathtub…with her baby now gone! She finds herself captive at a sinister clinic with other women whose newborns are being taken for an unknown purpose, and as Cameron desperately searches for his missing wife, time is rapidly running out. Inspired by true events, this nail-biting thriller, in the tradition of Wolf Creek, explores the most unspeakable, forbidden terror a new mother could possibly face.

The clinic
This movie had a good storyline and it was a pretty good movie. It reminded me of the hostel series but with pregnant women I enjoyed it...
Worth renting
I watch a ton of horror movies--lots of B and C grade flicks that have massive plot holes and weak characterization. That in mind, I went into this film not expecting much and was pleasantly surprised. The lead actress was sympathetic and believable. I don't know that this really belongs in the horror section though ... more thriller. No gore (OK, a little blood, but not a ton) and no supernatural entities to detract from what was mostly a well-paced plot.
But (and there is always a but isn't there?) there were a couple things I found mildly aggravating. Without giving spoilers, let me just say that there is one entire thread that is totally pointless and that adds absolutely nothing at all to the film (aside from manly eye-candy). The actor did a great job, but his role was utterly pointless in the end. You could have cut him from the script and it would have been just as good.
The premise has been done before, but not in this way. We've been viewing the human hunting theme for decades now, but this movie has a great character-driven angle on it and a pervasive creep factor that made it rank as one of the top horror/thriller rentals this year for me.
Bottom line: Well worth your time to rent.
