Plot Summary
Claire Lyons, the new girl from Orland(ew), Florida, has the nerve to show up at Octavian Country Day school (OCD) wearing Keds and two-year- old GAP overalls. She is clearly not top Clique (aka the Pretty Committee) material and Massie, Alicia, Dylan, and Kristen have no problem letting everyone know it. Unfortunately, Claires family is staying in the guest house on Massies familys huge estate and the girls are stuck with each other. Claires future looks worse than a Prada knockoff. But with a little luck and a lot of scheming, she might just stand a chance.

The books are great, the movie well. . . .
I love the books because of their wittiness and charm, but the movie looks too fake, some of it looks ok but most of it looks so oh i dont know rehearsed i guess. I have a feeling the director who directed this didn't really have a feel for the books. They nailed Claire and I liked Massie, but Chris Abeley wasn't that great, neither was Alicia, don't get me wrong she's pretty but she didn't look a thing like what i thought she would look like from the books' description. I have a feeling this movie for me will be one i buy for my ipod, not one for a tv though.
much better than i thought
before i actually saw this, i thought it was going to be all wrong and bad. after i rented it, i realized how good it was and how all the characters really played their parts well. massie at some parts didn't look how like i expected, most most of the time she did. claire was EXACTLY how i expected. she was just how i pictured her in the book. alicia too... she was obviously the prettiest and and richest and how i thought of her while reading the books. dylan wasn't how i pictured her but she did really well. kristen was just like i pictured her but she wasn't as sporty as i thought. overall, i had to buy it after i saw it once. i really recommend this for everyone who read the books... i reconized some of the exact lines from the book in this movie. basically, BUY IT PEOPLE (or at least rent it!)

ahh i am so excited about this movie. the books were fabulous. i figured it would probably have cheesy acting if it went to dvd and was pg. but it still looks super good. and i love how they over do the wardrobes to the actresses. they are how i imagined them. except alicia i thought she would be, um, bigger. anyways. this movie is flippin ah-mazing. oh my gawd.
