Fresh: The end of The Cove is as rousing as anything from Hollywood. Manipulative? Sure -- but isn't that fitting?
Fresh: As the subject of a documentary, this grim enterprise distinctly lacks the warm and fuzzy appeal of The March of the Penguins. So director Louie Psihoyos ingeniously reinvents his film as a spy caper.

Completely took me off guard- Best Movie I
My friend and I went to a local movie theater in NYC without knowing what we wanted to see. We had never heard of this movie. Had no idea what it was about. Somehow, by complete chance, we picked this movie because the poster looked interesting and the NY Times had reviewed it at the bottom of the poster with positive remarks. We asked a few people in line and no one had really heard of it BUT it is simply the best film I have seen this entire year (and I have seen quite a few). Documentaries are informative, provactive, sometimes even inspiring- yet often they can be tainted by a cloud of boredom; this one however is like none I had ever experienced. This really does transcend traditional domcumentary making and offers you an hour and thirty minutes that you will NOT forget and certainly discuss. If you are reading this and are curious- I promise this wont disappoint. It is not only emotionally charged and informative- it is suspenseful, visually stunning, and poignant. You will leave this movie wondering if this was actually even a domcumentary or just an unbelievably creative way to tell a story. Its a rare find and worth your time and money.
An important film about an important cause
This is a remarkable documentary that everyone needs to see. The slaughter of dolphins (and whales) is a cause that needs to be brought to the forefront and this film does it in an extraordinary way. It does not get preachy or try and make you feel guilty. It enlightens you while taking you on an action movie like real-life adventure. You will be changed by this movie and moved my Ric O'Barry's quest to right this horrible wrong.
MUST WATCH!!!
This is probably the most moving documentary I have ever seen. Someone needs to find away to get this distributed here in Japan!!!
