Plot Summary
A compelling documentary that chronicles the humorously irreverent and painful reflections of Timothy "Speed" Levitch, an eccentric New York City tour bus guide with an archive of beautifully distorted information about the city. His tours include references to George Gershwin, Edgar Allen Poe, Thomas Paine, Edith Wharton, Dylan Thomas, Eugene O'Neill, Willa Cather and Henry James.

RENT BEFORE BUYING
This film has a wonderful idea, a great subject (NYC), and a good platform. But it would be a 5-star film if 30 minutes of David Speed's ramblings and self-conscious "poetic" philosophizings were edited out. His scenes on the tour bus are wonderful. His scenes standing or walking through the city often border on unwatchable. The trailer is misleading, and I wish I never bought this film. Rent it first people.
