Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Despite its nearly nonstop torrent of gore, The Devil's Rejects is not really a horror film. It's a compendium of tributes and references to horror films of the past. – Dana Stevens, New York Times, Jul 16, 2008

Fresh: Indefensible on a moral level, Rob Zombie's perversely watchable follow-up to his much-reviled cult hit House of 1000 Corpses is loaded with filmmaking energy. – Peter Travers, Rolling Stone, Aug 14, 2007

Rotten: Crass, vacuous exercise in grind-house stylistics. – Kevin Crust, Los Angeles Times, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: The first 15 minutes and last half hour are terrific, and the stunningly violent middle part is only a partial waste. – Peter Hartlaub, San Francisco Chronicle, Jun 24, 2010

Enough to Shock a Horror Movie Veteran

I've watched alsmot every horror movie in existence, and now most fail to shock me - the newer movies being produced especially fall incredibly short. Although technically a sequel to House of 1000 Corpses, this movie stands on its own and did the impossible: it shocked the living bejeezus out of me! The feel of this movie reflects a gritty 70's slasher film atmosphere - and it's ability to truly surprise and disturb the audience is infinitely better than any other modern horror movie i've seen. I would recommend this movie to any horror movie afficionados, anyone who likes to challenge their beliefs (i admit i was rooting for the "bad guys" by the end), or even anyone who likes good music (zombie's soundtracks are reason enough to watch his films)!

Great Movie

This has to be one of Rob Zombies greatest works. The Final scene says it all.
