Plot Summary
Michael Gavin and his partner Daniel trade the rat race of New York City for the idyllic charm of the Connecticut shoreline, with hopes of a simpler life and time for Michael to finish his first novel. All that changes when one of Michael's high school students accuses him of "inappropriate conduct," and the town rushes to judgment.

The Green
This is a stormy and intimate experience, executed with great care. I think all of us have been touched in some way by pieces of this story in our lives. Maybe, if we didn't think so before, we certainly will now. Thank you.
The Green is Gold
In a world of sometimes stereotypical gay characters, clubbing, dancing and bearing toned chests and abs, The Green relied on none of those things and for good reason. While Cheyenne Jackson certainly has the aforementioned goods, especially physically, this film relies on the strength and tone of good storytelling.
Standout performances by Illeana Douglas and Jason Butler Harner carried the film, while Julia Ormond supplied the starpower. The combination of characters, charming New England setting and an interesting twist make this a film l have recommended to everyone I know. This is not a "gay" film, but rather a story that reflects how social perceptions of gay people create bias and prejudice, and in this case, an easy way out for a school administration.
Definitely worth the $3.99!
