Plot Summary
Demi Moore and David Duchovny star as a seemingly perfect couple who, along with their equally perfect teenagers (Amber Heard and Ben Hollingsworth) move into an upscale gated community. The Joneses have better goods and game than any other family in town. The only problem is they're not a family - they are employees of a stealth marketing organization, and they know how to make everyone else want what they've got.

Fresh: Mr. Borte conjures up a pleasant Stepford that runs less on robotic conformity than on endless, anxious competition. The key to the film is that it allows this life to have some real appeal.
Rotten: Crass materialism and ridiculous marketing ploys are skewered by writer/director Derrick Borte in this uneven cautionary tale that starts off incisively funny, then devolves into preachiness.
Fresh: It makes for good, although not great, satire of the consumer culture that helped wreck the economy.
Fresh: In an entertaining way, the movie says something challenging, that it's possible to lose your life to stuff -- and never even know it.

Originality at its best
What an outstanding premise for a movie. I loved every minute of it.
ehh good, but.....
The Joneses is a good movie ill admit it. But one problem youve seen it a million times before, you know exactly whats gonna happen. Dont let that stop you from renting it, its very funny and enjoyable.
Great movie!!!
As much as funny is the movie, still makes you think what materialistic world we live in.
