Plot Summary
One step can change a life forever in THE LEDGE, a sexy and suspenseful thriller, starring Charlie Hunnam, Liv Tyler, Patrick Wilson and Terrence Howard. After embarking on a passionate affair with his evangelical neighbor's wife (Tyler), Gavin (Sons of Anarchy's Hunnam) soon finds himself in a battle of wills that will have life or death consequences. As a nonbeliever, Gavin is lured by his lover's husband (Insidious' Wilson) to the ledge of a high rise and told he has one hour to make a choice between his life or the one he loves. Without faith in an afterlife, will he be able to make a decision? It's up to police officer Hollis (Howard) to save both their lives, but the clock is ticking in this edge-of-your-seat film that will leave you gasping until the final frame.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: What undoes it is its mechanical structure: a stale dramatic formula of the sort taught in elementary playwriting classes.
Rotten: Chapman's sincerity is undercut by the crudely melodramatic explanations of why his principals believe as they do.
Rotten: A film that's ultimately sabotaged by its own heavy-handed screenplay.
Rotten: An artificial drama enlivened by solid acting but dragged down by contrived melodrama over a fundamentalist nut.

More than just a great thriller
The Ledge is definitely a great thirller with a nice romantic storyline between Liv Tyler and Charlie Hunnam but it's more than that too. It raises the question of how believing in god and an afterlife alters one's behavior in this life and leaves the audience unsure about whether believers or non-believers can ever see the world the same way. I really enjoyed this movie!
Awsome
This movie is a great thriller it really does have you on the edge of your seat. It does a great job of telling the story through flash backs. I loved it! The ending is spectacular!
Made me question my convictions
I liked this movie a lot because it challenges beliefs we all have and those convictions that stir us. It makes you look differently at elements of life that society tends to judge very quickly. Love love love the belief sparring.
