A classic story made into a classic film
From the eerie Les Baxter score,to the terrific atmosphere of Floyd Crosbys cinematography,Roger Corman captures the grim and gothic mystery of Poes classic tale of decay.Note also Dan Hallers inspired set designs, you don't see this kind of detail and artistry anymore.Vincent Price is at his best, weaving from a calmly doomed and repentant man to a man driven to ultimate fear.Originally double billed with Hitchcocks Psycho.Wow. Great entertainment
