Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Conspiracy theorists, consider this: What if the hush-hush atmosphere and Internet mania surrounding the first X-Files feature film were part of a giant plot to hide the uneventfulness of one more summertime sci-fi fizzle?
Fresh: Dark, funny, paranoid, arbitrary, humming with tamped-down eroticism and in love with all things weird: That's the good news.
Fresh: It's a two-hour episode of the show, except with better production values and a nicer wardrobe for Scully.
Fresh: David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are enormously sympathetic heroes.

Where's the TV show?
God they would make so much money if they put the entire TV series on iTunes.
About time!
I've been an X Files fan since day one.I loved the movie I'm so glad iTunes finally came around. Now if only we could buy it not just rent it.....
A decent film but a weak X-files...
This film marked the beginning of the end for the series. The season after the film's release lost focus and eventually lost Mulder, ending with a unsatisfying season finale a few years later. Fight The Future didn't successfully bridge the gap between dedicated fan and newcomer. And stop blaming Apple for not being able to buy, it's up to the studios that release the film. They'd offer to buy and rent if they could, like they already do for some films.
